For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...
Mark 10:45
Jesus was intentional to show his disciples the importance of serving. Therefore, finding a way to serve others is a natural part of our growth as Christ followers. And, there are many opportunities for you to get involved.

People of Valor can help around the church either in groups or individually. There are many types of tasks - some skilled and some general maintenance. We have a running list of projects and can always use a helping hand... or two. Contact the church office to see how you can help us cross some items off of our list.
Any help is GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Weekly Volunteer Teams
Chair Teams
Each week, our Family Life Center transforms not only to be ready for Sunday Services but also for the many special events happening within our church. These teams meet up on designated times to place chairs, altar rails and tables.
Sunday Morning Welcome Team & Ushers
We actively desire to invite, welcome, receive and care for ALL who are at St. John's Church regardless of whether they are a first time guest, a regular attender or a member.
Ongoing Service & Volunteer Opportunties
Social Concerns
We help families in need in our community through our food pantry. Food boxes are available throughout the year and over 200 boxes are distributed to families for both Thanksgiving and Christmas.
Donations of non-perishable food items are accepted all year and can be placed in the food barrel located in the lobby across from the kitchen.

Missions
Missions Committee works to come along side of those within our communities, regionally and around the world. Supporting missionaries in various countries as well as local charities by having events during the year to raise funds, including our very popular Fall Inside Yard Sale.
Communion Team
Each month, we take time during our sunday services to remember all that Jesus gave for each and every one of us. Communion is a time to reflect, be thankful and re-focus our hearts through the receiving of bread and juice. This team helps to prepare the communion bread and cups for services.
Feed My Sheep
Each week, for over 15 years, our church has been sending teams to Camden with hot meals, meaningful conversations & connections, and some necessities. These teams are on a rotation and are looking for people to serve as well as prepare meals.
Men of Valor
Just about every Tuesday morning, you can find some retired men helping around our facilities and grounds here at St. John's. From leaf maintenance to worship chair repairs, they help with a varied amount of work that needs to be done in keeping this facility looking great. They can always use extra hands to jump in for small service projects.
