Worship @ St. John's

"Praise Him with the sounding of the trumpet, praise Him with the harp and lyre, praise Him with tambourine and dancing, praise Him with the strings and flute, praise Him with the clash of cymbals, praise Him with resounding cymbals.  Let everything that has breath praise the LORD.  Praise the LORD."

Psalms 150:3 - 6

At St. John’s we believe our lives should reflect worship daily. As we strive to connect with God on a deeper level, and tap into his power and strength, we believe that we should abandon ourselves in worship. This lifestyle reflects God’s work in our lives, is a catalyst for leading others in worship, and it deepens our relationship with Jesus Christ.

The worship ministry of St. John’s empowers team members to lead worship through singing, playing an instrument, working on our Media Tech team, participating in dramatic arts, or offering prayer support to our work in the church. If you sense God’s calling into worship ministry, and you have prayerfully considered how your gifts can be used, please send an email to our Director of Worship, Charlie Paul.

We currently have two worship services on Sunday mornings at 8:30AM and 11:00AM.

  • Our 8:30AM service is more traditional featuring piano, organ, traditional hymns, adult and kids choirs, and soloists.
  • Our 11:00AM service is more contemporary featuring a modern praise team, contemporary praise songs, and soloists.

Praise Team

Our Praise Team consists of instrumentalists and vocalists.  They help lead worship each week at the 11:00AM Sunday Worship Service.  The music consists mostly of modern praise and worship songs and at times soloists might be featured.  We are looking for instrumentalists and singers to join our team.

The team rehearses every Tuesday from 6:30 - 8:30PM.

If interested in joining, please contact Charlie Paul

Youth Praise Team

The Youth Praise Team is an excellent opportunity for students to learn how to lead their peers in praise and worship!  Our music consists of contemporary praise and worship songs and is constantly changing to include new recently released songs.  If you have a love for music and the Lord has blessed you with musical talents, join our Praise Team and start serving the Lord today!

The Youth Band rehearses every other week on Sundays from 3:30 - 5:30PM. Currently our team only consists of vocalists, but we are always looking to expand and include instrumentalists as well.

Multimedia Team

Our Multimedia Team consists of individuals who have a passion for the technical aspects of our Worship Services.  Each week they help lead worship through the use of modern audio, visual, and lighting equipment.
