THE OLD CHURCH BUILDING

The original St. John’s M.E, Church was located at the corner of Black Horse Pike & Greentree Road. The M. E. signified Methodist Episcopal. The church was built at a cost of $ 5000 and was completed in 1856. For 70 years prior to this, the congregation met in a nearby schoolhouse. By 1883, the church had 30 members. St. John’s shared Pastors with other churches but since 1910, we have had our own Pastor.

THE PRESENT CHURCH BUILDING

The present church building location on Ganttown Road was built in 1965.

THE FAMILY LIFE CENTER

Continued expansion of the present church facilities was highlighted by the opening of the Family Life Center (FLC), in March of 1995.
