PURPOSE STATEMENT St. John’s Children’s Ministry’s purpose is to lead children to Christ, to teach children how to live Godly lives through the example of Christ, and to show Christ’s love to others through outreach and service. GENERAL INFORMATION St. John's features a lively Children’s Ministry that seeks to lead children into a relationship with Jesus Christ. The Children’s Pastor and her experienced team of volunteers use relevant and interactive curriculums that help our children grow in their understanding of God. Simultaneously they learn to live lives that display Godly character, in an environment of God’s love and acceptance. Children’s Sunday School 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. "Tadpoles" Children ages 3 & 4 learn these three basic truths from our curriculum through Bible stories, crafts and activities God made me, God Loves me, & God wants to be my friend forever!   Kindergarten through Fifth Grade Children in Kindergarten to 5th grade meet together as a large group in our Prayer Chapel. Each week the monthly virtue & memory verse are reviewed. The main point from scripture is introduced in a fun and relative way. At the conclusion of the large group time, the children are escorted to their age level classrooms. Children learn these three basic truths from our curriculum based on Luke 2:52 through stories, games and activities. I need to make the wise choice I need to treat others the way I want to be treated & I can trust God no matter what! Kingdom Kids Is a regular feature of the Sunday morning worship service. Children are invited to the front of the Sanctuary for a brief Gospel lesson presented by the children’s Pastor, Sandy Gregory. Worship Zone Begins immediately following Kingdom Kids during each worship service. Children ages 4 years to 3rd grade are dismissed for a fun time of Christ centered lessons and activities. Kid’s Clubs Children in pre–kindergarten through 5th grade, meet in age level groups where they learn to apply God’s truth through creative, age appropriate activities. Kid’s Clubs meet every Wednesday night 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. following Family Dinner September 27th to May 9th. Childcare is available for children ages newborn to three years old, Sunday mornings and Wednesday evenings. Children Choirs Opportunities for children in choir include the following: Cherub Choir ~ Children ages three through kindergarten Chapel Choir ~ Children first through third grade Youth Choir ~ fourth through eighth grade Children meet each Wednesday night September through May from 6:30 to 7:00 p.m.
