   andrea.targonski@discoverstjohns.org

As a lifelong member of St. John’s United Methodist Church and an alumna of the school, Andrea is thrilled to be serving as the Director of St. John's Christian Nursery School. She received her BA in Communications from Rowan University and previously worked in corporate marketing and business development before becoming a stay-at-home mom and then Children's Ministry Director here at the church. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior when she was 12 at a middle school youth event and as the mother of two young children, she has a passion for making a difference in the eternal salvation of kids. She also co-directs St. John's Vacation Bible School, which reaches approximately 250 kids from St. John’s and the community and enlists the help of over 100 volunteers.

In her spare time, she loves to sing, travel to the shore and her happy place, Walt Disney World, and spend time with her favorite sax player, Ed, and their kids, Roy and Grace. Her favorite scripture verse is Jeremiah 29:11: "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Angie Boone

Children's Ministry Director

Angie Boone is presently a student at Camden County College where she is studying for her degree in early childhood education. She will transfer to Rowan University in January 2018 to attain her BA in education. Angie has her Associates in Science from Gloucester County College, and is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society and Kappa Delta Pi International Honor Society in Education.

Angie is excited to see how God is going to use her as she begins her work as Children’s Ministry Director at St. John’s United Methodist Church. She is also currently on staff at St. John’s Nursery school where she has been a teacher’s aide for the past 4 years. Angie has been attending St. John’s since 2010, and became a member in 2012. Since attending St. John’s Angie has been heavily involved in Children’s Ministry. She has been a teacher for Sunday School classes, and has co-directed Vacation Bible School with her close friend Andrea Targonski for the past three years. Angie has a heart for children and knows the importance of leading them to Christ. Her favorite Bible verse is 1 Corinthians 13:4-8: "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no records of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth."

Angie is married and the proud mother of 5 children; Christopher, Tommy, Nicolette, Samantha, and Billie. Her hobbies include trips to the shore, doing science experiments with her two youngest girls, Sami and Billie, and reading. A fun fact about Angie is that she loves animals, and is a mommy to a cute little puppy named Skipper, a kitty cat who answers to the name Macie Grey, and Jasper the bearded dragon.

Katie Keith

youth Ministry Director

St. John's has been Katie's church family for all of her life and God has continued to call her to make this church her home.  What a joy and honor it is for her to be called to this position of service as the Youth Ministry Director.  The opportunity to bring God's love and light to a younger generation, support them as they grow and deepen their relationship with Jesus, and prepare them to then bring that same love and light to their own world is a true gift.  After working with youth through theatrical and worship endeavors as a director, choreographer, costumer, and professional performer in the South Jersey and Philadelphia area, it has been a wonderful change to use the gifts God has blessed her with for the church.  There really is nothing like seeing a kid on fire for Jesus and being a part of encouraging their faith walk!

In addition to developing the youth program, Katie treasures the time she gets to serve alongside her husband, Eddie Keith through the worship ministry.  She loves being a member of the praise team family and getting to sing for Jesus with our church family each week.  Katie also volunteers her time maintaining and designing our website and sees this as an outreach opportunity for God.  In the Fall of 2017, Katie and Eddie will welcome a new baby into their family (and ours)!  They are looking forward to the many blessings God will bring as this new season of their lives unfolds.

"Let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith... Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for He who promised is faithful.  And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds."  - Hebrews 10: 22a; 23-24
